Starting driving phase in Phnom Penh, capturing imagery across 24 provinces, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism Starting Special Collection of Angkor Wat with Trekker, in partnership with APSARA National Authority (ANA)
August 22, 2013. After kickoff event of Cambodia Street View Driving in Phnom Penh, the street view team should start collecting data in Phnom Penh Capital City of Cambodia, but during that time there were CNRP mass demonstrations about the disagreement of 2013 election results. To avoid the demonstration march in Phnom Penh, the street view team had moved to start collecting the imagery at Siem Reap from 22 August 2013.
April 3, 2014. Google launched an online interactive map of Cambodia’s Angkor Archaeological Park in Siem Reap, allowing users to explore the park’s more than 100 temples, including Angkor Wat. The launching event was focus only on Angkor Wat area, but we actually could see temples from other provinces like Kampong Thom (12 sites), Preah Vihear (22 sites) and Ratanak Kiri (2 sites).
August 22, 2014. Google first launched its Street View imagery which collected by street view car in Cambodia. start collecting imagery on August 22, 2013 and launching on August 22, 2014, it was coincidentally one year!
July 14, 2015. Google launched imagery which collected by Street View Cars covered Cambodia-wide. Temporarily end street view project in Cambodia
